According to reliable journalist Jonathan Shrager, Nottingham Forest could complete the signing of Dean Henderson as early as this week.
The Lowdown: Henderson agrees Forest deal
The 25-year-old experienced a significant lack of game time at Manchester United last season, making zero appearances in the Premier League, something which has seen him be linked with a move away from Old Trafford in recent weeks, with serious interest coming from the City Ground.
It was reported by The Athletic on Thursday afternoon that the goalkeeper has agreed a deal to join the Reds on a season-long loan, subject to a medical, and if all goes well, the switch could be imminent.

Taking to Twitter, Shrager confirmed that there is a strong belief that Henderson’s move to Forest could be sealed in the next couple of days.
“There is a confidence that Dean Henderson’s loan move from Manchester United to Nottingham Forest will be completed this week. No option to buy included.”
The Verdict: Samba replacement
With the chances of Brice Samba staying at Forest getting slimmer by the day, Steve Cooper will be desperate to bolster his ranks with a new addition between the sticks, and Henderson has all the attributes to be the man to take the number one jersey, even if it is only on a temporary basis.
The shot-stopper has plenty of experience at a high level under his belt, having kept a total of 48 clean sheets across all competitions during his spells with Sheffield United and Manchester United – his teammates at Bramall Lane even called him ‘insane’.
The former Blades man will be keen to move to a club where he knows he is likely to get regular minutes, and he is pretty much guaranteed exactly that in the Midlands if Samba starts.
